The Bennett Brothers

SHARE EVENT:

New York Blues Hall of Fame inductees, The Bennett Brothers’ new release, Not Made For Hire (American Showplace Records), has been grabbing the attention of radio and listeners alike since its release last year. Before releasing this album, the pair of brothers, Jimmy and Peter performed and contributed songs on the first 7 Alexis P. Suter Band Albums. This helped propel the band to national and international stages and festivals, garnering several BMA nominations. They also wrote for and/or performed with John Ginty, Bruce Katz and Sean Chambers. When you couple that with the fact that they were a frequent part of Levon Helm’s Midnight Ramble, it comes as no surprise that their new album is a smash.

The band is currently touring to support their new release, which includes John Ginty on organ (Allman Betts Band, The Dixie Chicks) and Lee Falco on Drums (Donald Fagan). Linda Pino makes a guest vocal appearance on a fantastic 12/8 blues track. The brothers music is propelled by both Jimmy’s guitar playing and Peter’s driving bass. When you add in the harmonies the pair sing, the music is lifted to a new level.

Per New York City’s guidance, Sony Hall is requiring all guests, staff & musicians ages 12+ to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 to enter. Children ages 5 to 11 must have received at least one dose.
